People who keep dangerous dogs in their private homes must hang a sign at the entrance warning of the presence of a dog in the house. RIA Real Estate reports details with reference to Natalia Skryabina, a member of the Association of Lawyers of the Russian Federation.
It is noted that it is prohibited to walk dogs without a leash and muzzle in the country. An exception may be animals located in a fenced area that belongs to the owner. Also, there must be a sign at the entrance to such an area.
According to Skryabina, the sign can be installed at the entrance to the house. If the animal lives in an apartment, then the sign does not need to be installed.
She noted that if a pet causes harm to people, the injured party can go to court.
It is added that in order to prevent unpleasant situations, the dog should be walked while ensuring the safety of those around it.
