Telephone scammers have developed a new scheme for hacking accounts on "Gosuslugi".
It consists of two stages, introducing themselves as employees of the Russian Post and representatives of law enforcement agencies.
Honored lawyer of Russia Ivan Solovyov told the Prime agency about the details of a new fraudulent scheme.
At the first stage, the scammers call the victim under the guise of Russian Post employees and inform them of a registered letter. They offer to simplify the delivery process online and ask for the code from the SMS message.
If the victim interrupts the conversation, the scammers move on to the second stage.
After some time, citizens receive calls from alleged law enforcement officers. Now they ask for the same code to complete the procedure.
Fraudsters are interested in taking possession of the victim's money or taking out microloans in the victim's name.
A lawyer suggested that Russians not engage in conversations with strangers on the phone and not provide personal information.
