Kursk Governor Fires Head of Sudzhansky District Amid Residents' Cries

Kursk Region Governor Alexey Smirnov agreed to dismiss the head of Sudzhansky District Alexander Bogachev.

The decision was made following complaints from local residents evacuated from the area.

At the meeting, those gathered demanded that the head of the Sudzhansky district be dismissed because he is not coping with his duties. This was reported by RBC .

Residents also criticized the head of the district for delaying the issuance of certificates for the purchase of housing.

At the meeting, people shouted at Bogachev: “Get out of here, fire him.”

They also asked questions about social support measures for Bogachev, but received no answer.

The decision to fire Bogachev was met with friendly applause.

Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin, who attended the meeting of district residents with representatives of the Kursk region authorities, promised to report the results to Putin.

The head of the Kursk region said that the head of the Sudzhansky district will be relieved of his post.
