Russian President Vladimir Putin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov stated that states in the global South want to develop relations with the Russian Federation.
According to the Kremlin spokesman, the West, in turn, is seeking to prevent such a rapprochement.
Peskov called this position of the Western coalition “a constant practice in recent years,” as reported by RIA Novosti .
In addition, Putin's press secretary emphasized that the West's political orientation "tends to worsen."
Moscow's position
The Kremlin spokesman noted: “Europe and the United States are making attempts to exclude any contacts between individual countries and us.”
In particular, according to Peskov, this concerns the suppression of communications between representatives of all branches of government of other states and Moscow.
Putin's spokesman added: "Nevertheless, the global South is keen to develop relations with Russia."
The Kremlin representative made this information public during his meeting with journalists.
