The Kazakh airline Qazaq Air has suspended flights from Astana to Yekaterinburg for a month due to high risks for passengers and crew.
Qazaq Air announced the suspension of flights from Astana to Yekaterinburg for a whole month. The decision of the Kazakh carrier was published on their Telegram channel.
In accordance with the decision, flights on the Astana-Yekaterinburg route will not be operated in the coming month.
The flight ban will be in effect from December 28 this year until January 27, 2025.
The reason for this step was the risks associated with the safety of passengers and crew.
The airline reported that at the moment flights on the route from Astana to Yekaterinburg do not meet the required standards.
Nevertheless, Qazaq Air will continue to operate flights to Omsk and Novosibirsk, calling these destinations safe.
Passengers of cancelled flights will receive a full refund of their tickets or the opportunity to rebook on other flights.
