Details of the summer weather in Yakutia have become known.
It has been snowing in the country for the second day now, despite it being mid-August.
Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Republic Olga Balabkina shared these observations on her Telegram channel.
According to a government spokesman, summer snow is not an extraordinary event for Yakutia. Precipitation often falls in the region in July and August.
We have already gotten used to this kind of weather,” Balabkina quoted the words of the chum worker of the Magir tribal nomadic community, Ekaterina Dyachkova.
As Balabkina emphasized, at the beginning of summer the republic was already covered by heavy snowfalls, after which the country became warmer.
However, it has been snowing for the second day in two regions of Yakutia. We are talking about Momsky and Eveno-Bytantaysky districts, where reindeer herders live.
In the north of the republic, in the Arctic regions, sub-zero temperatures will soon be observed at night. According to weather forecasters, snowy weather will soon set in there on a permanent basis.
