Statistics have been released on how many people in Russia face the problem of damaged luggage.
As it turns out, half of Russians know firsthand what a battered suitcase is.
This was reported by the RIA Novosti agency, which studied statistical data from a study by the Kupibilet service for purchasing airline and train tickets.
The survey involved about 1,200 Russians over the age of 18. As the authors of the study found out, half of Russians have encountered the problem of a suitcase being broken during a flight.
Moreover, it is emphasized that 15% of travelers have encountered it more than once.
60% of people compensated for the damage, while the remaining 40% were left without compensation.
The other half of tourists did not experience damage to their luggage, but the authors of the study attribute this fact to the purchase of additional services.
For example, 38% of respondents prefer to additionally pack their luggage right at the airport, while the remaining 62% play it safe and take their luggage with them into the cabin of the plane.
