The maternity capital program has been extended until 2030.
Thanks to this, approximately 5 million Russian families will be able to receive additional funds.
The relevant information is contained in the draft law of the Ministry of Labor, which was obtained by the TASS agency.
It is noted that the legislative commission supported this initiative, in connection with which its validity will be extended until 2030. Previously, its validity period was limited to the end of 2026.
This means that approximately 5 million Russian families will receive maternity capital between 2027 and 2030.
Such a step will require the state to allocate additional funds in the amount of 2.776 trillion rubles.
Let us recall that the maternity capital program was introduced in 2007 and concerned families where a second child was born or adopted.
In 2020, families with their first child can also count on family capital.
