The Vologda region has adopted a ban on the sale of alcoholic beverages on weekdays.
Starting next year, they will only be available between 12:00 and 14:00 on weekdays.
The corresponding bill was adopted by deputies of the Legislative Assembly of the Vologda Region, RIA Novosti reports.
During the broadcast, which was conducted on the parliament's website, it became clear that the bill was supported by 25 deputies, two voted against and one parliamentarian abstained.
It is noted that the restrictions only apply to the sale of alcoholic beverages on weekdays.
On all other days, including holidays and weekends, alcohol can be purchased as before - between 8:00 and 23:00.
It is emphasized that the ban will not apply to restaurants and other establishments that serve alcoholic beverages. They will continue to offer alcohol to visitors as usual.
The law adopted on November 28 will come into force on March 1, 2025.
