The Sverdlovsk Regional Court announced its decision to uphold the sentence of the director of a special school in Yekaterinburg.
As noted earlier, an act of violence by students against one of the students was recorded at the said institution.
It is emphasized that the court did not issue a verdict regarding compensation for moral damages, as reported by TASS .
Accordingly, as the court ruled, the case will be sent for a new trial in order to resolve the civil claim.
Upholding the sentence
Earlier, the Sverdlovsk Region Prosecutor's Office reported that the director of the special school was accused of committing a criminal offense.
In particular, the actions of the accused fall under Part 1 of Article 293 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The article provides for liability for negligence.
In accordance with the charges brought against him, the school principal was sentenced to 11 months of correctional labor.
In addition, it is emphasized that 10 percent of the funds from the defendant’s salary will be withdrawn in favor of the state.
