An oncologist spoke about a rule that modern people should borrow from their prehistoric ancestors.
Doctor Carol Sikora has given advice that can help reduce the risk of developing cancer.
For several years now, scientists and doctors have noted that not only elderly people suffer from oncology, but also relatively young patients, writes the Daily Mail .
According to the doctor, the universal advice is to control weight and maintain a normal body mass index (BMI).
"Being overweight, even if not severely so, is a huge risk factor for cancer," the doctor warned.
The oncologist advised eating like in the "Stone Age". He explained that in the distant past, people's diet was based on plant foods with a high fiber content, and meat appeared occasionally.
The doctor advises to exclude highly processed foods from the diet or reduce their consumption to a minimum.
