The list of departments that have access to the state registry office will be expanded.
State Duma deputies approved amendments according to which employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) will have access to registry office data.
This decision was made by the relevant committee of the lower house of parliament, TASS reports.
After the final adoption of the amendments, the FSB will be able to receive information about marriages and divorces, births and deaths of citizens, name changes or establishment of paternity, etc.
The innovations will supplement the law “On acts of civil status”.
The responsibility for providing the relevant information will be assigned to the Federal Tax Service.
A number of departments have access to this information in Russia, from the Ministry of Internal Affairs to the Social Fund and the Compulsory Health Insurance Fund.
