Russian experts have identified a new fraud scheme on YouTube.
People who want to instantly improve their financial situation become victims of scammers.
The comment was shared by experts from the FACCT company, writes Gazeta.Ru with reference to the experts’ blog.
Attackers use mailings. They disguise their messages as notifications from YouTube.
The messages contain a link offering to earn instant income through an investment platform.
After clicking on the link, users are asked to complete a survey about their financial situation and leave personal information.
Once the information is provided, the victim is contacted by a "personal manager". He helps to open an account and start "earning".
But experts warn that Russians will not get back a single ruble invested. All funds will be taken by fraudsters. As a bonus, they will receive the victim's personal data.
Earlier, the FSB demanded to ban the use of VoIP accounts from foreign IP addresses.
