Fraudsters convinced a pensioner to sell her apartment for 1.6 million rubles

Fraudsters have once again succeeded in deceiving elderly people.

A 67-year-old pensioner was deceived into selling her apartment for 1.6 million rubles.

The Tver Region Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported this on its official website .

It is noted that the fraudsters acted as follows. One of them called the pensioner via messenger and introduced himself as a mobile operator.

The fraudster stated that in order to renew the service agreement, she needed to give him her passport details. After the woman gave the criminal the secret information, the mobile bank was immediately logged in.

The pensioner, who suspected something was wrong, continued to be “processed”, with the involvement of fake representatives of law enforcement agencies and a lawyer.

The woman was convinced to assign a new cadastral number to the apartment and sell it in order to allegedly save the property. After that, the Rzhev resident was intimidated and forced to refuse registration under a fictitious pretext.

A criminal case has been opened on the incident under the article on fraud, the swindlers are wanted.
