New details have emerged regarding the incident involving a tourist who went missing in the Sea of Okhotsk.

The wife of the man who miraculously survived said that the supplies were supposed to last him only two weeks.

Ekaterina told RIA Novosti journalists about this.

She spoke about how much food the tourists took with them on the trip. According to calculations, water and food should have run out two weeks after the boat went missing.

The woman suggested that her husband could have survived thanks to his build. According to her, the tourist recently found weighed about 100 kilograms.

Missing tourist found

Earlier it became known that a boat drifting in the Sea of Okhotsk was found. On board was one surviving tourist, Mikhail Pichugin, and two deceased - his brother Sergei and Mikhail's son Ilya.

The tourist group set off on a trip on the catamaran-type boat “Baikat 470” more than two months ago, after which contact with them was lost.

The ship was searched for with the help of helicopters, but the rescue operations were in vain. The boat, which miraculously floated out, was eventually found on Monday off the coast of Kamchatka.
