The press secretary of the Russian president, Dmitry Peskov, refrained from commenting on the failure in YouTube.
He noted that his service is working, despite reports of failures in some regions of the Russian Federation.
Peskov did not comment on which VPN service to use to watch videos on YouTube, TASS writes.
According to Peskov, it is difficult to judge what exactly happened to the video hosting service when its service is working.
“I can’t say anything, it works and loads on the phone,” he explained to journalists.
Peskov also said that in this situation, everyone decides for themselves which VPN to use.
YouTube crash
According to the service "Sboy.RF", on August 1 the number of complaints about YouTube's work increased sharply.
Residents of Moscow, St. Petersburg, Kuban and the Novosibirsk region complained most often about slow service.
Problems were noted in the operation of mobile applications and when viewing videos in the browser.
