State Duma deputy Tatyana Butskaya has come up with a new initiative.
The parliamentarian proposed requiring employers to monitor the birth rate of their employees.
Butskaya outlined the essence of the initiative during her participation in the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF), as reported in the Telegram channel of the Gazeta.Ru publication.
The deputy believes that all employers in the Russian Federation must assess which of their employees may give birth. Companies are required to record this data and keep statistics.
Deputy Nina Ostanina objected to her. She believes that this is interference in the personal lives of subordinates, which is unacceptable.
Ostanina noted that the birth rate will not jump due to the efforts of the “supervisory eye.”
In this situation, companies can only organize practices to support young families and employees with many children.
And the state should support such employers, Ostanina emphasized.
