In June, an outbreak of botulism occurred in the country as a result of orders for low-quality food from some producers.
Many people with botulism symptoms have been admitted to Russian hospitals. Some have already been discharged, and two people have died.
Currently, 8 people with botulism symptoms remain in medical institutions. RIA Novosti reports details with reference to the assistant to the Russian Minister of Health Alexey Kuznetsov.
It is noted that out of 8 people, 6 people are in the intensive care unit, of which 4 people are connected to a ventilator.
According to Kuznetsov, the condition of one person is moderate. Another patient has improved and will be discharged home soon.
The Ministry of Health added that 413 people began seeking help on June 15. They were taken to hospitals in various cities and regions.
