Elena Malysheva and her colleague German Gandelman spoke about the non-obvious connection between hypertension and oncology.
Doctors have warned that high blood pressure may be a sign of an adrenal tumor.
Experts spoke about this on the air of the program “Live Healthy!” on Channel One .
When people have hypertension, they first of all think that it is all about the malfunction of the cardiovascular system.
But this is not always the case. Sometimes high blood pressure is just a symptom that indicates problems with a completely different organ.
Gandelman explained that the adrenal gland and kidney are involved in regulating blood pressure in the human body.
Malysheva added that high blood pressure may indicate an adrenal tumor. But the doctor noted that most often this concerns young people.
This occurs because the tumor stimulates the production of a hormone that leads to increased blood pressure.
You should be wary if your blood pressure suddenly rises and then drops.
According to doctors, the problem may be due to the presence of pheochromocytoma (a tumor localized in the adrenal glands).
