In Russia, they are proposing not to issue residence permits to foreign doctors and teachers in a simplified manner.
The proposal to request the position of the Ministry of Labor on the issue of regulating relations within the framework of labor migration was put forward by the Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin.
He believes that the healthcare and education sectors should be excluded from the list of professions eligible for a simplified residence permit, TASS writes.
Volodin commented on the advisability of attracting migrants to the specified areas.
In his opinion, today it is necessary to find a solution to attract Russian specialists to healthcare and education.
He emphasized that only 34 percent of Russian university graduates return to work in hospitals.
Volodin said that the Russian teaching school will train high-quality specialists.
The task of the state is to create conditions for doctors and teachers.
In this regard, Volodin called for healthcare and education to be initially removed from the list of specialties for residence permits.
