The probability of importing the virus is quite high because tourists have become more active in traveling to Asian countries.
For example, an outbreak of the Nipah virus was recently recorded in India. It occurred in the city of Kozhikode (population about 2 million people).
Osipov stressed that Rospotrebnadzor has placed posts at airports. Their goal is to identify those infected.
Especially those who arrived from countries where epidemics of dangerous infectious diseases are raging.
If a tourist returns sick, he is hospitalized, treated and sent home. Such measures help prevent further spread of the disease.
