Doctors operated on the man, as a result of which about 35 maggots were removed from his eye.

As noted, the fly larvae ranged in size from 4 to 12 millimeters. The situation was critical: the parasites had eaten away the cornea and mucous membrane of the victim's eye.

Doctors administered local anesthesia and removed all the maggots from the man's eye. Thanks to the prompt surgical intervention, doctors were able to achieve success and preserve the patient's vision.

It is noted that the patient feels well and is recovering.
