Simferopol has been demonstrating record air temperatures for two days in a row. RIA Novosti reports the details with reference to the Crimean hydrometeorological center.
It is noted that on Wednesday, July 17, the air temperature was 38.3 degrees. This figure exceeded the record set in 2001 by 1.2 degrees.
According to the Hydrometeorological Center, the heat was felt most in Leninsky, Krasnoperekopsky, Krasnogvardeysky, Razdolnensky and Dzhankoysky districts. In these places, thermometers showed +39 degrees Celsius.
They also added that over the past 100 years, the highest temperature was recorded on Tuesday, breaking the 2001 record of +37.5 degrees.
