An Austrian citizen asked for asylum in Russia, but the Ministry of Internal Affairs refused her request.
The court in St. Petersburg supported the agency’s decision.
The head of the united press service of the courts of St. Petersburg, Daria Lebedeva, wrote about this on her Telegram channel.
The case in point is an Austrian citizen named Nurit Schaller. According to the woman, she is in danger in her homeland from Muslims who have emigrated to her country.
That's why she decided to hide from them in Russia. The Austrian expressed a desire to learn Russian and said that she dreams of living in a country that supports traditional values.
However, the Austrian citizen was unable to explain the nature of her occupation and what she plans to do in Russia.
According to Schaller, her plans include studying the political situation in the Russian Federation. The Ministry of Internal Affairs considered the woman's application insufficient justification and refused to grant her asylum.
Following the department, the refusal was also supported by the court of St. Petersburg.
