Thailand has been named the leading country in terms of the number of insurance cases involving Russian tourists.
Since the beginning of this year, the main causes of accidents in Thailand are the local climate and risky travel on two-wheeled vehicles.
“Tourists are faced with temperature changes and an environment of bacteria and viruses,” Yulia Alcheeva, director of the Euroins Tourist Insurance branch, told TASS .
As a result, tourists are overcome by acute illnesses and ailments.
Risky means of transportation are also a common cause of accidents.
Tourists use tuk-tuks, neglecting to take safety precautions while driving.
As a result, severe consequences of accidents with dislocations, fractures, and head injuries are recorded.
Besides Thailand, most incidents involving tourists occur in Cuba, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic, Vietnam and Indonesia.
