New details have become known about the environmental disaster that occurred recently in the Kerch Strait.

Fuel oil from wrecked tankers continues to spill into the water.

As predicted by candidate of physical and mathematical sciences Sergei Stanichny in a conversation with the RIA Novosti agency, oil products may soon reach the Crimean Bridge.

To prove his words, the expert cited data coming from space images, as well as monitoring by the Marine Rescue Service.

The images show a multi-kilometer black plume that continues to spread around the area where the disaster involving tankers carrying fuel oil occurred.

It turned out that the fuel oil from the sunken tanker not only continues to flow out of it, but has also changed direction.

As a result, the oil products changed their direction and are now moving along with the currents towards the Crimean Bridge.

Stanichny did not rule out that the fuel oil could be washed directly onto the Crimean coast.
