The rector of the Alexander Nevsky Church, Boris Krivonogov, explained why there is no need to help Russian women with IVF.
In vitro fertilization (IVF) is becoming one of the last hopes for couples who are unable to have children due to health reasons.
But a priest from Chelyabinsk spoke out against supporting Russian women who decided to have children with the help of IVF, reports EAN .
Krivonogov explained that in such a case we are only talking about treating the effect, and not correcting the cause.
In his opinion, when a woman cannot have children, this is a consequence of early sexual activity, which Christianity condemns and calls a sin.
The priest emphasized that sexual promiscuity forces girls to use various methods to avoid unwanted pregnancy.
He cited hormonal contraceptives as an example. He also mentioned abortions, which "wear out the body" and can deprive a woman of the opportunity to have children in the future.
"There is a commandment of God that is now being ridiculed: no-no before marriage. This is now perceived as some kind of madness, but it is the norm," Krivonogov said.
The priest believes that all the troubles in this case are due to the promiscuity of the youth. But at the same time, he believes that such Russian women do not need help with IVF.
Only maintaining chastity before marriage will help avoid problems with conceiving children and bring happiness in marriage, the rector of the Alexander Nevsky Church summed up.
