Clearing the rubble at the site of the collapsed bridge in the Dzhankoy region of Crimea will take about a day.

According to journalist Pavel Lyamtsev, the Ministry of Emergency Situations employees are clearing away the debris of the collapsed bridge to clear the railroad tracks.

He also stressed that train traffic would be restored within 24 hours. 16 vehicles and 43 rescuers are involved in eliminating the aftermath of the rubble, REN TV reports.

The Russian Emergencies Ministry also said that a road bridge collapsed between the villages of Izumrudnoye and Maslovo in Crimea.

The collapse occurred over a railway track.

The Crimean Investigative Department of the Russian Investigative Committee said the bridge collapsed due to the movement of an overloaded truck.

The truck was moving across the bridge with a 30-ton load, although there was a sign near the bridge restricting movement of trucks weighing no more than 18 tons.

Due to the collapse of the crossing, freight rail transport between Crimea and the Zaporizhia region has been stopped.
