In the Urals, measures were taken against a social worker who showed negligence towards her ward.
The woman was sentenced to a fine for committing forgery.
The press service of the regional prosecutor's office reported this on its Telegram channel, citing the Chkalovsky District Court of Yekaterinburg.
It is noted that the state prosecutor demanded a year and a half of imprisonment for the defendant. However, the court ruled that the accused must pay 100 thousand rubles.
Circumstances of the case
According to investigators, the former employee of the Ministry of Social Policy of the Sverdlovsk Region was supposed to visit a dysfunctional family between December 1 and 4 to make sure that the child living there was okay.
However, the official limited herself to a telephone conversation with the minor’s guardian, who assured her that everything was fine with the child.
The social worker wrote in the relevant document that the child was fine, although he was already dead by that time. Thanks to the forged document, his relatives continued to receive payments for the boy.
