The head of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy announced new changes that will affect bloggers.
Those people who have a small audience will be able to voluntarily submit information about themselves to Roskomnadzor.
Alexander Khinshtein shared this information while speaking at a press conference at the International Multimedia Press Center “Russia Today,” RIA Novosti reports.
Earlier, the State Duma decided that if bloggers with an audience of over 10 thousand people do not have verification, they will not be able to place advertisements on the resource.
As the parliamentarian specified, we are talking about those content makers whose audience does not exceed 10 thousand people. Moreover, we are talking about one specific resource on which the author promotes his content, and not about all platforms.
Khinshtein noted that he himself would initiate this practice. As the owner of several channels on social networks, he also intends to submit information about himself to Roskomnadzor.
