New details have become known about the plane crash that occurred in the Aktau region.
Azerbaijan Airlines announced that it has completely cancelled all flights on the Baku-Grozny and Baku-Makhachkala routes and back.
RIA Novosti reported this with reference to a message distributed by the press service of AZAL.
According to the company, an investigation is currently underway into the incident.
Until experts receive the necessary information about the causes of the incident, flights to the above-mentioned destinations will not be carried out.
Azerbaijan Airlines plane crash
On the morning of December 25, an incident occurred with an AZAL flight.
Due to a collision with birds, the plane's crew decided to divert the aircraft to an alternate airfield located near the city of Aktau in western Kazakhstan.
There were 69 people and five crew members on board the ship, of whom only about 30 survived. 10 Russians who were on this flight are currently in hospitals in the city of Aktau.
