From October 1, large families in Russia will be able to receive benefits more easily.
This will be possible thanks to digital IDs.
Elena Tsatsura, senior researcher at the Institute of Social Analysis and Forecasting of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration, spoke with RIA Novosti about the advantages of the innovation.
Ease of use
Digital certificates will allow large families to receive benefits upon presentation of a QR code.
Therefore, there is no need to carry paper documents with you.
The innovation will also simplify the process of confirming the status of a large family.
In Moscow, digital IDs were introduced in February 2024.
Tsatsura said that a digital ID in QR code format will become an equivalent replacement for a paper one.
It must be shown in cases where it is necessary to confirm the right to benefits for large families at government service centers or social institutions.
From October 1 of this year, this practice will begin to spread to all Russian regions.
