The weather forecaster told what tests the weather has in store for Russians next week.
The comment was shared by the scientific director of the Hydrometeorological Center of the Russian Federation, Roman Vilfand.
New temperature records may be set in a number of regions of the country, RIA Novosti reports.
The hottest will be in the south of Russia. Astrakhan, Volgograd and Rostov regions will be covered by heat up to +42°C. In Krasnodar region +39…+41°C is expected.
Abnormal temperatures will be recorded in the south of the Far East – in Buryatia (up to +37°). “Krasnodar” heat is expected in Transbaikalia.
In the south of the Amur region – up to +36°C. In the Irkutsk region and in the west of Yakutia, up to +37°C is predicted.
Not only heat is expected in the Rostov Region and Stavropol Krai. In addition to abnormal temperatures, there will be heavy rains with thunderstorms and winds up to 25 m/s.
Thus, the summer of 2024 may well surpass the average temperature of June-August 2023 and become the hottest on record.
Many people escape the heat on the beach. But recently, social networks and the media were rocked by a story about a deadly parasite that sent a beachgoer in Israel to the hospital.
Earlier, Rospotrebnadzor explained whether it is possible to catch a “brain-eating” amoeba on the beach.
