Strong disturbances in the Earth's magnetic field are expected over the weekend.
A magnetic storm can affect people's well-being, the operation of satellites and other technologies.
Leading specialist of the Phobos weather center Mikhail Leus said in his Telegram channel that a strong magnetic storm will hit the Earth this weekend.
The expert gave an indication of when the disturbances will begin: closer to Saturday evening. The storm will continue until at least Sunday afternoon.
A strong storm was also predicted for August 1, but contrary to expectations, it was weak.
According to Leus, the Sun continues to experience flares, rapidly approaching the maximum possible class X.
The specialist reported that after a turbulent weekend, some stabilization will occur. Already at the beginning of next week, the geomagnetic background will become calm.
