New measures introduced in the Novgorod region have become known.

A “quiet hour” has been introduced in the region, and violating it will result in a fine.

The regional parliament's press service reported this on its official website .

According to the publication, deputies of the Novgorod Regional Duma have come forward with an initiative to amend the legislation concerning administrative liability.

Parliamentarians decided that on weekends and holidays in the region it is prohibited to make noise between 13:00 and 15:00.

Those who violate the law will be punished with a fine:

  • individuals will pay up to 1,500 rubles;
  • officials and individual entrepreneurs can pay up to 30,000 rubles;
  • Legal entities will be required to pay up to 50,000 rubles.
