Specialists from the National Research Center for Epidemiology and Microbiology (NRCEM) named after N. F. Gamaleya have developed a vaccine against tuberculosis infection, "GamTBvac".
Details were reported by TASS, citing the center’s director, Alexander Ginzburg.
It is noted that the booster vaccine successfully passed the third stage of trials, which involved over 2,000 patients.
According to the director, this vaccine is planned to be introduced into use in 2025.
He noted that plans also include the creation of a vaccine against latent forms of tuberculosis.
The vaccine created against tuberculosis, GamTBvac, is planned to be used as a booster vaccination for adults and adolescents.
