Tourists from Russia are increasingly talking about the strict ban on bringing alcohol into the Maldives.
Many Russians have started to come up with various schemes so as not to deny themselves the pleasure.
Russian ballerina Anastasia Volochkova shared her experience of vacationing at the famous resort in an interview with Life.ru.
She told us what the real situation is with alcohol in the Maldives.
The ballerina noted that alcohol is indeed confiscated at the border and locked in safes until the tourists leave.
She said she had no problem with alcohol in the Maldives. She added that she did not know how to help other people in this situation.
The ballerina also said that she takes swimsuits, a cap for sun protection and pointe shoes with her to the islands.
She needs ballet shoes to stay in shape.
Volochkova also said that she swims a lot to stay in good physical shape.
