The daughter of the People's Artist of Russia spoke about life in the USA and longing for work in the Russian Federation.
Maria Mashkova shared her experiences on social media.
Vladimir Mashkov's daughter has been living in the States for several years now. Until 2022, the actress periodically visited her homeland to see her relatives and film with Russian directors.
But later Maria spoke out sharply against Russia's political course and abandoned her creative work in the Russian Federation. In 2023, the actress announced that she had received US citizenship.
On social media, the artist shared that the break with her homeland and loved ones hit her hard.
"Of course, I am sad, I am in pain, I miss you. I really loved my work in Russia," said the daughter of the People's Artist.
Mashkova said that in the USA she has to work a lot.
The actress admitted that she would hardly be able to play an American on screen: “But I can be a cool foreigner, ideally I can take all the roles away from foreigners.”
Meanwhile, the actress's father is under sanctions from the EU, Canada, and Switzerland.
