Member of the lower house of parliament Alexei Zhuravlev spoke about the punishment for the People's Artist of the USSR.
The State Duma deputy from the LDPR believes that it is time to recognize Alla Pugacheva as a person performing the functions of a foreign agent.
Zhuravlev voiced his position in a conversation with RIA Novosti .
The parliamentarian proposed not only recognizing Pugacheva as a foreign agent, but also depriving her of all property on Russian territory.
The deputy cited statements discrediting the Russian Armed Forces and “working for Western propaganda” as the reasons.
Before this, activists and some politicians also came forward with proposals to recognize the singer as a foreign agent. But so far, only the artist's husband has this status.
Earlier, the activist suggested checking Valery Meladze's sister for violations of Russian laws.
