New details have emerged in the high-profile case of the murder of popular singer Igor Talkov.
The suspect in this crime was arrested in Israel.
RIA Novosti reported this with reference to information provided by the press service of the Main Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for St. Petersburg.
Valery Shlyafman, who is in Israel, is accused of two criminal counts:
- the murder of Igor Talkov, whose concert director he was in 1991;
- attempted murder of Igor Malakhov, who was the representative of the singer Aziza.
It is noted that for this purpose, investigators from the Investigative Committee of St. Petersburg went to Israel, and the materials of the executed order will ultimately be sent to the Petrogradsky Court of the city.
Earlier, the investigation established that Shlyafman had a conflict with Aziza's representative, as a result of which he attacked Malakhov using a firearm.
Having opened fire on his opponent, the suspect fatally wounded Igor Talkov.
This incident occurred in 1991, after which Shlyafman fled to Israel and was arrested in absentia in Russia.
