People's Artist of the Russian Federation Leonid Remnev died while on stage.
The incident was reported on the official page of the Nizhny Novgorod Youth Theatre on the VKontakte social network.
It is noted that the People's Artist of Russia felt ill at the time when he played Sergei Zheleznov on stage - this character is the husband of the main character Vassa.
An ambulance was quickly called, but the doctors did not have time to help the actor, and he died right on stage.
It is specified that the deceased was 78 years old. The cause of Remnev's death is not indicated.
The contribution of the People's Artist of Russia to the development of the theatrical community is invaluable; he has more than 100 roles under his belt. In total, Leonid Remnev devoted 52 years of his life to the theatrical stage, working first in the Gorky and then in the Nizhny Novgorod Youth Theater.
