Soviet and Russian cinematographer, director, and actor Anatoly Petritsky has passed away.

The artist was born in 1931 in Kharkov. He entered the VGIK cinematography department. He graduated in 1955.
Petritsky's first full-length film was My Younger Brother in 1962.
In addition, it was Anatoly who was responsible for the filming of Sergei Bondarchuk's War and Peace, which took six years and was completed in 1967.
The artist also appeared on screen in the famous Soviet film “Mimino”.
In 1969, Petritsky received the most prestigious Academy Award, the Oscar, for Best Foreign Language Film.
