Russian singer Masha Rasputina spoke about her spat with Philip Kirkorov.
The artist was offended by her colleague for releasing a song that was intended for her.
In an interview with the website aif.ru, Rasputina revealed details of her quarrel with Kirkorov.
She explained that the reason for the long-term disagreement was the song “There are so many different songs in the world.”
Rasputina said that the composition by the poet and songwriter Leonid Derbenev was intended for her, and Kirkorov “stole” it.
The singer said that he was the first to record it and show it on air on one of the TV channels.
Rasputina admitted that at that time she was very offended by Kirkorov.
The artists' reconciliation only happened ten years later, when the artists had matured and become wiser.
They decided to cement their reconciliation by performing the song "Tea Rose" as a duet.
The video for this song was paid for by Rasputina's husband Viktor Zakharov, and Kirkorov did the promotion.
