The State Academic Maly Theatre of Russia has suffered a heavy loss.
37-year-old actress, student of Yuri Solomin, Ekaterina Vasilyeva, has died.
Information about this was reported on the website of the theater's press service on Friday, August 16.
It is specified that the actress died on August 15. An accident was named as the cause.
In her obituary, Vasilyeva's colleagues noted that she was an artist who never stood still and always tried to learn something new.
Ekaterina served the Maly Theater since 2011. She was born on April 28, 1987 in the Belarusian city of Gomel.
Vasilyeva mastered her acting skills under the watchful eye of People's Artist of the USSR Yuri Solomin, who passed away on January 11, 2024 at the age of 88.
The Maly Theatre notes that it is unfair and bitter to sum up at 37 years old, but Vasilyeva had 15 roles to her credit and teaching experience at the Shchepkin School.
