New details of the Chekalin bloggers' case have become known.
Valeria and Artem were left under house arrest in a new case of withdrawal of 250 million rubles.
This information was shared by a RIA Novosti correspondent who is in the Moscow City Court hall.
It is noted that the defense insisted on mitigating the preventive measure. In support of their demands, they presented relevant evidence that during the previous proceedings, Lerchek did not violate the conditions and complied with all restrictions.
However, the Moscow City Court upheld the decision of the Troitsky District Court of Moscow and dismissed the appeal.
The New Chekalin Case
It is noted that on October 4, bloggers Chekalins and their partner Roman Vishnyak were placed under house arrest.
The investigation found that the bloggers transferred more than 250 million rubles outside of Russia using forged documents.
This amount was previously classified as tax arrears, but after the spouses’ divorce it was reclassified as the transfer of funds abroad.
