Honored Artist of Russia Alexander Yaskov has passed away.
He died suddenly at the age of 72 on August 8.
The sad news about the artist's death was reported by the Telegram channel of the Academic Drama Theatre named after M.Yu. Lermontov.
Yaskov's colleagues say that he was a true legend and loved by the audience.
Yaskov came to the drama theatre straight from his student days and during his years of service made an invaluable contribution to the development and preservation of cultural heritage.
The actor was respected by artists and spectators devoted to his talent.
Yaskov shone in the plays "The Suicide", "The Murder of Gonzago, or It is Destined to Play". He was also loved for the theatrical productions "Adelaide", "The Triumph of Love", "The Dawns Here Are Quiet...".
The Lermontov Theatre team expressed condolences to the actor’s family and friends.
Farewell to Alexander Yaskov will take place on August 11 in the Great Hall of the Lermontov Russian Drama Theatre.
