What permissions should you never give to an app on your smartphone?

After launching a new application on a smartphone, it may require access to the gadget’s functionality.

Many users give the application the required extensions without thinking about the consequences.

However, first you need to understand the new program to understand whether you can give them on your smartphone.

Microphone

If an application requests to use the microphone, you need to think about whether you are going to talk on it or whether it has a voice assistant function.

Otherwise, it is better not to give such permission.

SMS access

The request to access messages to automatically insert the code should generally be rejected.

Contacts

The app does not need access to your contacts on your smartphone. Similar requests from new extensions can be safely ignored.

Calls

If the function of the new application is not related to calls, then it is better not to give permission to access calls.

Camera

The app may request permission to access the camera for video calls, photos, and scanning codes.

In other cases, the application does not need a camera.

Calendar

An application requesting access to your calendar is not a concern unless you use the scheduler and do not add events to the calendar. Otherwise, the information may go to other people.

Storage

Access to the storage will allow a dubious program to obtain your photos and personal information for its own purposes.
