A new feature will be available to WhatsApp* users.

It will help protect you from unwanted interlocutors.

Messenger users will have the opportunity to set special PIN codes that will prevent communication with strangers, reports the WABetaInfo portal.

This feature is currently undergoing beta testing and will be available to all users after that.

The new option will allow users to hide their phone number from people they interact with for the first time.

The information will be closed to anyone whose numbers are not included in the smartphone's phone book.

This will be primarily useful for those who want to remain anonymous or avoid unwanted communication on the Internet.

According to the authors, users will have to exchange PIN codes in person for further interaction within the messenger.
