Scientists have made an interesting discovery in the south of the African state of Namibia.

Paleontologists have discovered the remains of an ancient "monster" with a skull shaped like a toilet seat.

A team of scientists has discovered a new giant four-legged animal that lived about 280 million years ago, Live Science writes, and publishes a photo of the extinct animal.

This is a swamp predator, which was named Gaiasia jennyae. We are talking about a fairly large creature. The length of adults reached 2.5 m.

The structure of the skull of this “swamp creature” attracted special attention from scientists and the scientific public.

Gaiasia jennyae had a flat head with a mouth that sucked in prey and then used huge fangs. "The entire front of the mouth is just giant teeth," the scientists say.

Now all that remains of the once formidable predator is a skull in the shape of a toilet seat.

Researchers believe that in the swamp ecosystem, Gaiasia jennyae was at the top of the food chain.

Earlier, scientists showed from space the “bridge over which Adam left paradise.”
