In a conversation with NEWS.ru, he explained whether the American company will turn Android smartphones into “bricks”.
The expert confirmed that Google could theoretically do this. But, in his opinion, it would be an extreme measure.
And the initiator of such a measure will be the US government, i.e. the decision will be political. The American authorities have instruments of pressure on the company.
But Geller noted that Google would shut down a number of other services before that.
“First they will turn off one, second, third, fourth, fifth services, and this is the very last thing they can do, but they can,” the expert shared his opinion.
On September 26, for example, it became known that Russians were restricted in their ability to create new accounts.
